The vineyards of Gambellara Winery are essentially situated on hills and soils of volcanic origin like tufa and basaltic lava, wich crop out in the surface in multishaped columns. With the degradation of the rocks the soil is been enriched of a natural chimical fertility, rich in potassium and magnesium wich give to the grapes that richness in sugar and aromatic substances that we can find in the wines then.

The hills that surround Gambellara Winery raise up to 500 m on the sea level. The area between 100 m and 350 m on the sea level is the most cultivated in grapevines; the hills orientation goes from North to South favouring a relatively mild climate during the winter and at the same time a good daily range temperature during the ripeness of the grapes.
