Our range of products is made by still wines, sparkling wines and dessert wines, so you have a wide choice to create the best gift box. Cantina di Gambellara renews itself Print

cantinadigambellara_modSince last September we have finally completed the renovation of Cantina di Gambellara, lasted around two years with a complete renewal of the warehouse for the storage of the finest bottled wines, of the bottling room, now equipped with the most modern and efficient equipment existing on the market and the installation of a photovoltaic system which, in addiction to saving electricity represents a source of energy with a low environmental impact. Cantina di Gambellara is also equipped with a battery of autoclaves for the production of sparkling wines bigger and more modern than the previous one, also because of the increase in the consumption of this type of wine both in Italy and abroad. But the real gem is the construction of a cellar for aging wines such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Recioto di Gambellara, for a long refinement begore being bottled and the complete renovation of the Wine Shop, now much larger than the previous with inside a small tastings room for clients who want to visit our winery on reservation. These renovations wascertainly very long and expensive but necessary and now we are sure to have operated in such a way as to ensure a quality and high level of service for our costumers who now appreciated these efforts.

Few weeks ago we have completely modified the line of our classic wines called  "Prime Brume", made of Gambellara Classico, Soave Classico, Cabernet Sauvignon Doc Vicenza and Merlot Doc Colli Berici. The label, now completely self - adhesive, is more elagant and refined but at the same time fresh and young and it can be present as in a wine bar as in a more formal restaurant. Now discover the rest of the labels into our website. 

Cantina di Gambellara Grappa Print

grappe-insieme-xCantina di Gambellara is glad to present its brand new grappas; they are the result of the distillation of the best marcs, carefully selected and distilled according to the most traditional methods and they join to the historical Grappa di Recioto.

 

Grappa di Prosecco is crystalline, with a fruity and floral bouquet, has a smooth and delicate taste with fresh fruit hints. 

 

Grappa di Chardonnay is slightly amber, as the result of the ageing in small oak casks. Bouquet is delicate with wood hints, the taste is smooth, harmonic and spicy.

 

The last is Grappa Riserva, a blend of selected marcs with a gold amber colour with a very delicate bouquet with wood and sweet notes. The taste is smooth and delicate with pleasant wooden and spicy hints due to the long ageing in precious oak casks.

 

With these new Grappas Cantina di Gambellara continues its renewal to present to its clients fine and selected products, fruit of the passion and love for its land.

The 2010 Douja d'Or award goes to the Recioto di Gambellara Spumante Print

btl_recioto_spumanteOur Recioto di Gambellara Spumante Docg  won the "2010 Douja d'Or Award" in the 38th National Doc and Docg Wine Challange.

This prestigious Wine Challange, organized every year by the Chamber of Commerce of Asti, awards Doc and Docg wines produced in our country separating them in different categories; wine tastings are leaded by a commission made of O.N.A.V. tasters.

Our Recioto di Gambellara Spumante Docg obtained an excellent 88/100, vote that numbers it among the best wines in its category.

Obviously we express our satisfaction for this prize wich represent from one side a recognition of the efforts in the good quality wine making, expression of our territory but from another a further stimulus for a constant  quality improving of our production.

Reconstruction works for our Wine Shop Print

foto_cantina_in_costruzione_001We communicate to all our clients that few days ago we started reconstruction and enlargement works for our Wine Shop and they will last untill the beginning of the next winter. Anyway we move it only few metres, just on the back of the Winery. Opening time remains unchanged.

 We want to apologize for any discomfort but at the end of the works we will have a Wine Shop completely new, larger than the present and with lots of novelties.

First 2010 tasting: Recioto di Gambellara Print

At the beginning of the year Gambellara Winery resumes the tastings for all the clients passionates.

On Saturday the 23rd and 30th of January 2010 at our Wineshop there will be a wine tasting of our products, leaded by a frofessional sommelier, combined with some typical food af the place; besides, though it is possible to taste all our  wines the protagonist of these two events will be the Recioto di Gambellara.

It is in this period that, at the end of the drying process, there is the press of the grape and so there will be the chance to visit the drying store and the place for the grape drying on the "Picai" and to taste the dry grape which dry fruits notes we can find in the Racioto when bottled. 

We wait for you for this unique experience and to begin this 2010 with good food and fine wines.

La manifestazione organizzata dal Consorzio Vini Vicentini, con il contributo della Camera di Commercio di Vicenza, di Vicenza Qualità e della Provincia di Vicenza,in collaborazione con la sezione  A.I.S. del Veneto e Slow Food del Veneto, era rivolta al grande pubblico e alla stampa specializzata ed ha visto partecipare ben 250 blasonate etichette provenienti da tutta Italia.

Novello 2009 Print

The crop is end and we can enjoy the first results of a good vintage, remebered in the memories. Infact we are bottling the first wine of the 2009 from Merlot grapes, picked between August and September, with a very good sugar level, macerated and fermented with carbon dioxide to save and exalt varietals and primary grape parfums.             

 


Here is the new creature, "I Basalti" Novello 2009; it is a ruby red wine with intense fruty parfums, with undergrowth notes, cherry, rose, sweet. The taste is full, smooth, velvety thanks to the sun and the warm it received in the second part of the season, perfect as alternative drink, with roasted meat, main courses and light meat. We suggest to serve it at the temperature of 14 -15°C., in a deep glass to get parfums and tastings. You can find it on sale in our Wineshop from the 6th of November, we are waiting for you, only just for a tasting...

Best Ssparkling Recioto Award to the Gambellara Winery Print

In the afternoon the allegorical float parade with the grape and at Palazzo Cera there will be "The laboratory of the Matches,  with the wine tasting of more than 60 wines of the 13 producers of the Gambellara D.o.c. area. Prosecco 2008 Print

proseccoProsecco 2008 : obtained after a careful selection of the best soil for the grape growth, a continuos control of the production and the choice of the right moment of the crope, to have the best balance between alcohol degree and acidity.



Fermentation strictly in white, in stain tanks, ripeness of the wine on the yeast, elaboration in autoclave according with charmat method.
This  bright gold yellow sparkling wine, presents a refined and persistent perlage, good intensity with floral notes (mayflower, broom, elder) and fruity notes (apple), slight bread crust inkling; the taste is fairly sweet, smooth and well balanced, with a good body.
Valfonda Prosecco is perfect as aperitif, with seafood starters and fish and veal. To serve at the temperature of 6 - 8° C.
